PRESS YOUR LUCK – Air Hockey Rules (v1.0)

👥 Player Count:
• Ideal for 5 to 7 players
• Can support 3 to 9 players

🎯 Objective:
• Accumulate the most points after 7 rounds of play.

🧠 Basic Flow:
1. Game is played over 7 rounds.
2. Each player gets one offensive turn per round.
3. They face defenders one at a time.
4. Players are re-seeded by score after each round.

🔁 Turn Structure:
• Start with the puck.
• Face defenders in order of lowest rating.
• Choose to:
✅ Resign – lock in current score
🎲 Press Your Luck – try for more, risk it all

💰 Scoring:
• Scoring is triangular:
1st goal = 1
2nd = 3 (1+2)
3rd = 6 (1+2+3)...
• Fail = -1
• Resign locks score

🔄 Defensive Rotation:
• Next defender steps up after each try
• Loop continues until fail or resign
• Order = lowest to highest rating

🔚 Round End:
• All players take their turn
• Re-seed players by total score (low to high)

🏁 Game End:
• After 7 rounds, high score wins
• Tie? Use sudden death (house rule)

🚫 House Rules:
❌ No sanding
✅ Resign only with puck possession
